Absolute Expands Lenovo Factory Activation to Asia Pacific
Absolute Expands Lenovo Factory Activation to Asia Pacific

This week, Absolute announced an agreement to expand the Lenovo factory activation of Absolute Data & Device Security (DDS) to Asia Pacific. Lenovo’s Asia Pacific customers will now have the option to pre-load and activate Absolute DDS onto all of their Lenovo devices before shipment.

As outlined in our press release, this agreement means that Lenovo will incorporate the automated deployment of Absolute DDS, which will trigger the activation of Persistence technology by Absolute, through Lenovo’s Imaging Technology Center for its Asia Pacific customers. We are excited to be extending the benefits of this out-of-the-box experience to even more customers around the world.

What is Absolute Persistence Technology?

Absolute Persistence technology is built into over half a billion devices around the world, including a huge list of Lenovo devices. Through our partnership with computer manufacturers, the Persistence module is built into the firmware of desktop, laptop, tablet, and smart phone devices around the world. Each device leaves the factory with the Persistence module in place, waiting to be activated. Once the software agent is installed, Persistence is activated. It’s through this agent that device information is transmitted to IT so they can remotely track, manage, and secure devices. Absolute is the only vendor in the world able to provide this capability.
