Today we are happy to expand our endpoint security solutions to include Absolute Secure Drive, the next-generation of encryption.

Absolute Secure Drive manages self-encrypted drives (SEDs) that meet OPAL specifications, an industry standard released in early 2009 by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG).

SEDs ensure that the content of an OPAL-specified SED will always remain encrypted – no need to worry about end-users failing to store data in encrypted directories or failing to safeguard encryption keys.

How does Absolute Secure Drive Help?

Organizations need to ensure that the encrypted hard drives are not compromised. Absolute Secure Drive places control of the encryption technology in the hands of IT administrators. They can administer users, authentication methods, policies, and system maintenance through to end-of-life, all from a central administration console and much more cost effectively than traditional software-based encryption solutions.

Absolute Secure Drive leverages computrace BIOS persistence by allowing the Computrace agent to self-heal onto the encrypted hard drive in the event that the asset is lost or stolen.
